The Michigan Society of Clinical Hypnosis (MSCH) is a component section of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Our members include physicians, psychologists, clinical social workers, dentists, and other professionals who share scientific and clinical interest in the ethical, professional use, and advancement of clinical hypnosis. The goal of MSCH is to provide scientific and educational programs that will increase the knowledge and understanding of clinical hypnosis as a powerful tool in the treatment of a broad range of medical and emotional difficulties.
MSCH provides, and encourages, educational programs to ethically further understanding of clinical hypnosis and to stimulate research and encourage scientific publications. We are dedicated to promoting the acceptance of hypnosis as an important tool in the field of medicine, psychotherapy, dentistry, and other therapeutic venues.
The Michigan Society of Clinical Hypnosis (MSCH) seeks to promote the use and value of clinical hypnosis by certified medical and mental health professionals and to uphold the strict, ethical standards of the use of hypnosis. Please review our Mission and Ethics Statements in this website. MSCH strongly recommends that if you are seeking treatment utilizing clinical hypnosis it is important that you check the credentials of the individual before any treatment program begins. Clinical hypnosis should only be used by licensed and certified health care professionals who have received advanced training in the use of hypnosis. You can receive information regarding qualified individuals in your area by contacting either The Michigan Society of Clinical Hypnosis (MSCH) or the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH).
